Maciej started his professional career at the tax counselling division in PwC where, for over five years, he was responsible for the servicing of proceedings before tax authorities and administrative courts. Subsequently, he collaborated with PwC Legal Polska where he was involved in projects related to broadly-understood intellectual property rights and protection of personal data, corporate law and in court proceedings. In 2013, he qualified as legal counsel with third best result in the District Bar Association and started developing his professional practice. His area of experience includes counselling for one of the largest telecommunication companies in Poland, where he issued opinions on contracts regarding, in particular, purchase and implementation of IT systems, as well as verified the company’s marketing communication. He helped one of the most buoyant start-ups operating in the e-commerce industry in the process of selling its shares to an important investor from the medical industry, as well as in preparation of rules for electronic service provision. He issued opinions on agreements with trade partners for an important player at the sales support market with coupon promotions. He also advised one of the well-known players at the advertisement and marketing market (also in the area of e-commerce) with respect to the contract law and compliance of the communication and marketing solutions proposed to the clients with the law, taking into account such sensitive industries as the tobacco industry, the alcohol and the pharmaceutical industry.
Maciej qualified as a journalist at the University of Warsaw and completed post-graduate studies on intellectual property rights at the Unviersity of Warsaw and studies on new technology law at the Koźmiński University.
